Rihana launched Fenty Skin in summer this year July 31 st Friday. She took her Instagram to launch and described each and every skin care product in details . As a woman of colour she quotes " I m really picky with products and lot of time I get scared and cautious. I want a product that just worked for everyone. " She also stated she needed ingredients which were best and did not cost a lot .
Sustainability is big point with FENTY SKIN. Along with clean oil free, vegan, and gluten free along with refillable canister to help cut down on plastic use.
On another good news is that I have been using & testing this skin care line for past two weeks and now I can finally tell you my honest first impression / my take on this ..
Total Cleans'r Remove-it All Cleanser
It cleanses and at the same time deep cleans the skin . Leaving Hyper Skin, Soft skin with out stripping or drying out the surface. I can't really describe the smell like a fancy fruity / blueberry sweet but not cloying. The whole line is made with clean fragrances (with synthetic scents making up less than 1% of the formula) .
The cleanser has its natural delightful smell from its ingredients b- Barbados Cherry (which is full of brightening Vitamin -C ), green tea and Fig( which are rich in antioxidants , and Quince ( a fruit that contains conditioning properties )
As for its most important quality - cleanses and does exactly as promised. I usually used it at night for that deep cleansing specially after removing makeup to give as double cleanse to my face .
So this was STEP-2 in my double cleanse routine. I used only 2 days in morning and was finding it too thick for my skin to be cleansed that deep, as at night I do double cleanse. Dint find it any use to use / include in my AM Skin Care routine Step -1 .
Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum
This the favourite of whole bundle . From its packaging to its ingredients I think you cannot get enough of this toner.
Rihana kept the packaging very minimal with twistable lock-top to help cut down on the amount of plastic that goes into making it. The encapsulated bubbles looks like the skin-care version of snow globe when you move it around. This step is Rihana s favourite step in her skin care routine.
Formula :-
It's a hybrid- serum with texture of serum but the watery consistency of an essence once you rub it. Your skin drinks it right in , along with the ingredients Niacinamide (help in minimising dark spots and even skin tone), vitamin -C ( for brightening ) , Australian lemon myrtle and witch hazel water ( to reduce oil and refine pores) , as well as, handful of hydrating ands antioxidizing powerhouses.
Results won't been seen immediately , you have to use it over period of time. It's not kind of serum you are going to see an overnight result with.
Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturiser Broad Spectrum SPF30 Sunscreen
Similar to cleanser , this SPF30 moisturiser smells like an absolute dream of sweet , fruity deliciousness . The fragrance comes from natural ingredients , like hint of watermelon, kalahari melon in the formula which are rich in antioxidants . Also has niacin amide and Hyaluronic acid which means skin is hydrating and leaves the skin feel velvety and diffused sheen that looks like filter with no white cast in sight.
Even better , its made without oxybenzone and octinoxate two common sunscreen ingredients that are known to damage coral reefs. Call it hunch but it 'll top the list of best sunscreen
Instant Reset Overnight Recovery Gel- Cream
The instant reset overnight recovery gel cream review as it claims to revives skin overnight and glow by day along with hydration and reduces the looks of pores and dark spots, actually its quite light and doesn't feel like gel . It not greasy which is what I loved the most about this night gel cream. Comes with refillable jar and small spatula . I love when they out a tiny spatula that means you are not digging your fingers into it and formula is sterile and not gets unhygienic.
Its paired with Hyaluronic Acid , glycerin and niacin amide like a multitasking cocktail of skin superstar that all has proven to have a positive impact on most complexions and skin types. It doesn't have retinol but to be honest I won't mind / miss using Retinol . Cause I have others who have Retinol on its own. For my sensitive skin I m every cautious not to mix my Retinol with any other active / non active acids. I don't mind the extra step but I would rather have an extra step in PM routine then my skin getting sensitive / burning the next day.
I think with Fenty Skin team put has lot of thought into their product development process and the packaging design and its going to influence lot of other skin care brands as well.
The Bundle cost is 112$ but the value of the set is $128 .. They all are full sizes so it does work out cheap and cost effective in the end. They do have international shipping and they ship to Saudi Arabia .
