Hi all, Hope everyone is enjoying the onset of summers.Well its getting really hot here. As last time I wrote about the skin care, this time I thought lets write about the hair products I have been using these over last three months.
So the most talked about hair products right now is OUAI . As you all know this line is launched by the celebrity hair stylist Jen Atkins, from Los Angles.
What does OUAI means ?: "It means YES in Parisian . She focuses on the taking care of hair from within.
Their products are sulfate-free and has smart keratin to repair and improve hair strength.
So the products I have been loving at the moment and using them :-

As I mentioned before their shampoo is sulfate free that means its doesn't not causes cell damage. If the concentration is <1% in any cosmetic & shampoo its considered safe .
There is rumour more so a mythic thats sulfates are carcinogens. But its always safer than to be sorry later. Sulfates acts as detergents so if you imagine if your shampoo had more sulftaes , it would be like washing your hair with detergents .
That can be ONE of the reason of hair fall for people who have fine , fragile hair and also coloured hair.
So when I was informed by my friend who is dermatologist , when ever we buy any cosmetics / hair care products/ hair masks / face masks or foundations , always check for concentrations of Sulfates & better to get if its sulfate & paraben free products.
How I use this shampoo:-
I use this once a week or when I colour my hair .
That can be every 4 weeks to 5 weeks. I also use after I have been under sun on beach to repair any damage caused by sun rays or long exposure to sun while swimming.
Always followed by repair conditioner.

This is my regular shampoo, I use it 2-3 times a week. Just to control my frizz and have that smooth finish to my hair. Also doesnot let my colour run a lot and lasts longer.
3)OUAI TREATMENT MASQUE:-

They come in pack of 8 masque and Formulated with Artichoke Leaf Extract that seals the cuticle and protects hair from future damage, this treatment leaves strands incredibly smooth and soft. Ideal for straight, wavy, curly, coiled and tightly coiled hair, this restorative treatment mends spilt ends and repairs damaged hair.
I use it as overnight masque , you can use anytime . I prefer to use over night to get best results. I use it as treatment once a month or once in two months. But if you have coarse hard thick hair you can use daily or twice a week to treat your hair.
There are lots of other products & merchandise from OUAI but I m using these for the moment.
I have heard good reviews about their dry foam shampoo. haven't got a chance to try it ,but will definitely try when I am in sephora outlet next.
The most important message from this post I would like to share is always look at SULFATE concentration on bottle at the back. A lot of girls complain about hair fall , and say they have tried everything and still they suffer from hair fall. Your hair fall can be :-
1) Seasonal
2) dandruff
3) Oily scalp
4) Shampoo filled with high concentration of SULFATES.
5) Can be due to medical illness such as :- Hormonal, Anaemia, Vit D & Calcium deficiency , Bitoin deficiency , etc etc .
So get everything checked if you have a lot of her fall.
Also most importantly everyone looses hair while brushing which is normal. You have to notice is your hair falling is increasing and is it covering your whole fist or you are having Bald patches.
And do not try to brush your hair when its wet. Cos wet hair are very fragile and weak. Let it air dry , and when its 80% dry you should brush or use DeTangle brush to brush out knots. But again very gently.
